Blogging and Creating Online Content
I have been professionally writing for digital audiences since 2007. I consider myself a content chameleon; well-versed at adopting existing brands’ voices and styles in order to seamlessly produce original, engaging content for online audiences. My work has appeared on actress Elizabeth Banks’ website, Shelterrific, Gozamos, the Chicago Tribune’s RedEye online edition and in print, in Not For Tourists (print), BeautifulNow, and Gapers Block.
I have experience with copywriting and worked as a Content Producer for NogginLabs, an innovative eLearning company that creates tailor-made interactive educational software. There, I was responsible for writing and editing scripts and promotional materials for corporate clients and creating core concepts and signature graphics to reflect clients’ existing brand images.
I have experience as both an Editor and Managing Editor. In addition to editing content, other past responsibilities have included managing a staff of more than thirty remote freelance writers, writing compelling headlines for landing pages, and coordinating content with section editors.
I specialize in lifestyle writing and have extensive experience, both in print and online, developing engaging content about pop culture, travel, food, fashion, home decor, and luxury goods.
I have been a Special Contributor for the Chicago Tribune’s RedEye newspaper since 2010 where I write the Page Four editorials about pop culture as well as cover stories for their print audience of a quarter of a million readers.
Social Media Management
Need help expanding your network? I’m fluent in social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Google+, Blogger, WordPress, GoodReads, et al.) and have experience growing an audience through the development of our social media channels.
My own fashion and lifestyle blog, Breaking Curfew, caught the attention of ecommerce site Shop It To Me. I was handpicked to serve as a Trendsetter and now act as an advisor for the popular site which boasts over 4 million subscribers.
